Dr Friedrich Thienemann
Dr Friedrich Thienemann is the Director of Integerafrica.
Dr Friedrich Thienemann studied medicine at Charité Berlin, Université Paris Descartes and the University of Cape Town. Thereafter, he joined the tropEd Network and undertook a Master's degree of International Health. He began his training in Internal Medicine, Infectious Diseases and Tropical Medicine at Charité.
Thienemann has worked at the University of Cape Town since 2009 and is co-investigator of research projects with Professor Jeannine Heckmann, Professor Graeme Meintjes, Professor Karen Sliwa and Professor Robert Wilkinson.
In 2009, together with Christiaan Diedericks, Thienemann founded Integerafrica. His central interest is in the promotion of health through prevention and improvement of care.
